#34: October 10th, 2010 - Reassembling the Dashboard... I got the dash structure back from Tolivers and it looks great. They even sand blasted and coated the inside of the large tube on the drivers-side. The first step is to set the structure in the dash shell and bolt the two together using the proper screws. Next the vent ducting goes in. Passenger side, drivers side then the center stack completes it. After that, the wiring and its associated fuse box, switches, relays, and connectors. The clips that attach the harness to the dash are taped to the harness now, so I can be sure they are in the correct position. The bottom plate gets bolted in place too. I forgot to take it to Tolivers, so it gets a coat of black paint before it goes in. The A/C controls and stereo wiring harness are next to go in. Some of the A/C controls attach to the evaporator case when it gets bolted to the firewall. I have to grind off some power coating in areas where ground screw attach the harness to the support. The newly repaired center surround is the last part to go in. I had to epoxy the rear support back in place. | ||
